Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate bedside care for critically ill neonates in a Level III-IV NICU
• Perform and participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization using NRP and STABLE protocols
• Manage advanced respiratory support, including ventilators, HFNC, SiPAP and HFOV
• Care for and troubleshoot central lines and PICC lines, including insertion support and maintenance
• Assist with or perform intubations and advanced airway management as indicated
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in the CPN/Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate and support families during high-stress situations with clear, compassionate communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification — required
• STABLE certification — required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU Level III-IV experience required (job posted indicates 4 years of experience overall)
• Experience with ventilator management, HFNC, SiPAP, HFOV and neonatal advanced life support procedures
• Comfortable with central line and PICC line care and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with CPN/Meditech or similar EMR systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP/STABLE best practices)
• Ventilator management and respiratory support modalities for neonates
• Central line and PICC line care and maintenance
• Intubation support and airway management in neonates
• Operation of feeding pumps and IV infusion pumps
• Use of HFNC, SiPAP and HFOV equipment
• Accurate charting and EMR proficiency (CPN/Meditech)
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking and family-centered communication
