Shift Type: Friday-Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (day shift; 9-10 hour days)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients in the acute inpatient rehab setting and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans
- Deliver hands-on and functional therapy interventions to restore mobility and independence
- Use patient lifting equipment safely and effectively to protect patients and staff
- Document assessments, plans, and progress accurately in Cerner PowerChart
- Collaborate with PTAs, OTs, SLPs, nurses, physicians, and rehab techs to coordinate holistic care
- Educate patients and families on recovery goals, home programs, and safety strategies
- Supervise and mentor support staff while maintaining high standards of patient care
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) or equivalent degree
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (acute care experience preferred; at least 1 year preferred in acute care)
- Comfortable with patient handling and common lifting devices (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove)
- Strong documentation skills, preferably with Cerner PowerChart
Education
- BS in Physical Therapy (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of acute care rehabilitation practices and protocols
- Experience with orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary patient populations
- Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility training
- Competent in safe use of Hoyer and other patient lift systems
- Excellent communication, time management, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner PowerChart
