Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity cardiovascular critical care with compassion and clinical precision
• Manage ventilators and perform ventilator assessments to optimize patient breathing
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, including Swan-Ganz monitoring, to guide care
• Care for and troubleshoot arterial lines, central lines and chest tubes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate complex post-op CABG and CVICU care
• Document care in Meditech and communicate effectively during handoffs
• Support unit readiness and patient safety during nights and scheduled weekend coverage

Qualifications

• RN required (active RN credential)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or similar)
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management, arterial/central line and chest tube care
• Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and Swan-Ganz
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN are nice-to-have credentials

Education

• RN required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and bedside CVICU skills
• Ventilator management and respiratory assessment
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters and invasive pressure monitoring
• Competence caring for arterial lines, central lines and chest tubes
• Experience with CRRT and Impella care is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity team environment
• Comfort using Meditech for charting and documentation
