Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights; days of week vary / rotating)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for orthopedic surgery and inpatient med/tele patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms as required by the unit
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and maintain thorough clinical records
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely, including specialty therapies when certified
- Respond promptly to urgent situations using BLS/ACLS protocols and clinical judgment
- Float between inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units as needed to support patient flow and staffing
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS required and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (per job posting)
- Strong Telemetry experience preferred — 2 years preferred
- Chemo certification is a nice-to-have (opens opportunities to float to Oncology)
- Comfortable floating to different inpatient units and working as part of a team
- Experience with Meditech or similar EMR systems preferred
Education
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Meditech EMR documentation and electronic charting
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Post-operative orthopedic nursing care and assessment
- Medication administration and IV management
- Strong communication, delegation, and teamwork skills
- Critical thinking and rapid decision-making in acute care settings
- Familiarity with unit policies, patient ratios, and infection control practices
