Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Perform assessments, implement care plans, and document patient progress clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Respond promptly to patient changes and escalate concerns when needed
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clarity
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep the unit flowing

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license (New Mexico preferred) or compact RN license where applicable
• Previous acute care or med-surg nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to pass facility background checks and drug screening
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; travel experience a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for RNs
• Vocational diploma or equivalent for LPN applicants where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and critical thinking skills for acuity-driven care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Comfort working autonomously while collaborating with the care team
