Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and policy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Perform safe and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Participate in thorough handoffs to ensure continuity and safety of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing (New Mexico licensure preferred)
• Active basic life support certification (BLS) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to complete required facility onboarding, background check, and drug screen
• Comfort working night shifts and in fast-paced clinical settings
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or BSN for RN; accredited LPN program for LPN applicants)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and charting
• Infection control and patient safety best practices
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Professional communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
