Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, compassionate patient care and monitor patient status during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform timely assessments and escalate changes in condition to the care team
• Document care clearly and thoroughly in the patient chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge instructions
• Support unit workflows during admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (recommended / typically required)
• Ability to work overnight shifts and manage patient care independently during the night
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous acute care or rehabilitation experience is a plus but not mandatory

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (Diploma or Certificate)
• RN: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Familiarity with charting and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
• Patient education and family communication skills
