Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to patients, monitoring status and responding to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
• Perform skilled nursing tasks such as wound care, IV assistance as appropriate to license
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (or eligible for state licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience preferred (acute care, rehab or similar)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus depending on unit
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks and drug screens
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts and occasional weekend rotations

Education

• Vocational Nursing Certificate or LPN diploma; completion of an accredited LPN program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Proficiency with patient assessment and monitoring
• Comfortable with electronic charting systems and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and respond to emergencies calmly
• Good interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
