Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care to patients on your unit
- Perform thorough assessments and document clinical findings clearly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation and support smooth shift handovers
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact RN license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/PALS as required by unit
- Previous acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and background checks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required for entry to nursing programs
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and prioritization skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Patient education and discharge planning
- Infection control best practices and safe patient handling
