Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care to patients on your unit
• Perform thorough assessments and document clinical findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and support smooth shift handovers

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/PALS as required by unit
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required for entry to nursing programs

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Infection control best practices and safe patient handling
