Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, focusing on dignity and safety
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
- Monitor and record vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns
- Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) and promote resident comfort and mobility
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and support smooth shift handovers
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — Massachusetts preferred or eligible
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited LPN/practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid foundation in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Skilled in taking and interpreting vital signs and documenting observations
- Good charting skills and basic familiarity with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and family communication
