Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, focusing on dignity and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
• Monitor and record vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns
• Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) and promote resident comfort and mobility
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and support smooth shift handovers

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — Massachusetts preferred or eligible
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited LPN/practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid foundation in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Skilled in taking and interpreting vital signs and documenting observations
• Good charting skills and basic familiarity with electronic medical records
• Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and family communication
