Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Monitor and document patient status, changes, and interventions clearly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
- Support residents and families with education and emotional reassurance
- Maintain safety, infection control, and facility standards at all times
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and smooth transitions of care
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts LPN license required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain promptly
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
Education
- Diploma or certificate from an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and charting skills
- Comfortable with wound care, vitals monitoring, and basic assessments
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize care tasks
- Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
