Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patients’ condition and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and following care plans
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of Maine or eligible for Maine certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Demonstrated patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Previous nursing assistant experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
• Comfortable with charting and following care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a team
• Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and assisting patients throughout the shift
• Attention to detail and reliable time management
