Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics
• Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Document patient care accurately and communicate observations clearly
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-certified) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including lifting and standing for shifts
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control
• Skill in taking vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
• Ability to document care accurately in electronic or paper charting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
