Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to help residents stay active and confident
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake/output, and routine observations
• Report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff and document care clearly
• Support mealtime assistance and help maintain good nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Collaborate with the care team and communicate kindly with residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific credential required)
• Ability to work the assigned day shift hours; facility will confirm specific days
• Prior CNA experience preferred but new graduates with certification are welcome to apply
• Comfort with lifting/transferring residents and following safety protocols
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (facility may assist with requirements)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe resident handling
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control standards and personal protective equipment
• Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Compassionate patient interaction and effective communication with caregivers
