Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility to prevent falls
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident chart
- Assist the care team with daily procedures and follow care plans closely
- Communicate respectfully with residents and families to support person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- State-specific CNA registration or licensure as applicable
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfort working as part of a collaborative team and following facility protocols
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in patient personal care and assistance with ADLs
- Ability to accurately measure and document vital signs
- Good infection control practices and attention to safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
- Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
