Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Assess, monitor and document patient status and changes in condition
• Collaborate with nurses, providers and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Perform wound care, ADL support and bedside procedures within scope of practice
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Support safe handoffs and thorough documentation in the electronic chart

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in Maine required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtained upon hire
• Previous clinical experience preferred; experience in long-term care or med-surg is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work a 12.5-hour night shift and manage charting and handoffs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or equivalent nursing program for RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and sterile technique
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety protocols
• Comfortable using electronic health records and standard clinical tools
• Good critical thinking, time management and interpersonal skills
