Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, and other observations accurately
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident environments and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nurses and the care team
• Document care thoroughly and contribute to team handoffs for continuity
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active state certification or eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania CNA certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or available upon hire
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar healthcare setting is a plus
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assistance with ADLs
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with charting/documentation and basic electronic health records
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nursing staff
• Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
