Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mealtime support with dignity
• Document care and observations clearly to support the clinical team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to enhance resident comfort

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or acute care preferred but new grads welcome
• Ability to pass facility background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic documentation skills and the ability to follow care plans
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
