Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents—assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, using safe body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the care team promptly
- Assist with meals and feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Document care activities accurately in the facility record and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the required state
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab is preferred
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Reliable, prompt, and committed to high-quality resident care
Education
- CNA certification (state-approved)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe patient handling
- Knowledge of basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Comfortable with electronic charting or paper charting protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with nursing staff
