Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in an acute or rehab setting
- Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and support quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or eligible for state licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Comfortable working extended day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a collaborative team
- Professional attitude, reliability, and commitment to patient safety
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program: ADN or BSN for RNs, accredited LPN program for LPNs
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
