Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults, focusing on dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and other observations accurately
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention by following care plans and facility protocols
• Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification — required
• Active state registry status or ability to register in Maryland for the assignment
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
• Comfortable working the evening/second shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Ability to follow care plans, document accurately and work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with elder care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs and resident observations
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety procedures
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and clinical teams
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shift periods
