Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to elderly residents, helping with daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to preserve dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Observe residents closely and communicate behavioral or clinical changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent, person-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols for safety and infection control

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Compassionate attitude and experience working with geriatric populations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a care team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and elder care best practices
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
• Familiarity with documenting care in electronic or paper charting systems
• Good observation skills to notice subtle changes in resident condition
• Strong interpersonal skills to support residents and their families
