Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, promptly identifying changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Create clear, timely documentation in the patient record for continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Provide compassionate patient and family education to support recovery
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Mentor and support peers when appropriate, contributing to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (compact or Delaware RN license required prior to assignment)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS if applicable to unit
• Clinical comfort with med administration, patient assessments, and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional
• Travel nursing experience preferred but new travel RNs are welcome

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking to prioritize patient needs
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Electronic medical record documentation and charting
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Time management and organization during busy shifts
