Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (overnight/NOC); specific days to be confirmed with facility
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients throughout the night, recognizing changes and escalating concerns quickly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the chart
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and update patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education in a compassionate, culturally aware manner
- Promote a safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols
- Support transitions of care during handoffs to ensure continuity and high-quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible or licensed in New Mexico preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
- Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred; travel experience a plus
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- LPN candidates considered where appropriate; RN licensure required for RN role
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and triage skills during overnight hours
- Medication administration and IV care competence
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
- Team collaboration, time management, and the ability to prioritize under pressure
- Culturally sensitive patient education and bedside manner
