Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during the night shift
- Perform timely patient assessments and document findings clearly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, compliant charting in the facility EMR
Qualifications
- Current, active license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
- Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
- Ability to work the assigned night shift schedule
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- RN: Graduate of an accredited associate or bachelor nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and IV site assessment
- Patient assessment and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with common EMR systems and electronic charting
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Team collaboration and clear bedside communication
