Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during overnight hours
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes with timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
• Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate patient care and safe transitions
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to facility policies and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Valid RN license eligible for practice in New Mexico (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Minimum clinical experience preferred (LPN and RN candidates considered)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/PALS as required by unit
• Ability to work overnight shifts and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Licensed Registered Nurse (Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN preferred)
• LPN candidates with appropriate licensure may also be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring overnight
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• IV therapy and wound care familiarity as applicable to the unit
• Electronic medical record (EMR) usage and accurate charting
• Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams and families
