Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients with professionalism and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely according to orders and facility policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly to ensure patient safety
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain smooth operations
• Support residents' emotional and social needs to promote quality of life

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in good standing for Maine (or compact/state equivalency where applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehab, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Immunizations and health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Skilled in basic patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Familiarity with care planning and charting best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and clinical colleagues
