Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
- Monitor patient status, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support care plans and patient outcomes
- Perform thorough assessments and maintain clear, professional charting
- Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in New Mexico or eligible for state licensure
- If applying as an LPN, active Licensed Practical Nurse license is required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/PALS as required by the facility
- Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
- Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RNs
- Diploma or Certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program for LPNs
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for overnight care
- Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients safely
