Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support meal service and feeding assistance as needed while monitoring intake
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to follow care plans and improve outcomes
• Promote a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through thoughtful communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) required
• Minimum competency in basic patient care and ADLs; prior long-term care or facility experience preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, prompt, and able to work the assigned evening shift

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care principles and resident rights
• Comfortable with resident transfers and mobility assistance
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in condition
• Good documentation and charting practices
• Infection control, hand hygiene, and safety procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and support staff
