Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based individual and group mental health treatment to incarcerated patients
• Conduct clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Document encounters clearly and timely in the facility’s health records system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and safety plans
• Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed in the correctional setting
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain compliance and best practices

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Psychologist license (or LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) in good standing
• Experience or comfort working in behavioral health settings; correctional experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and clearances
• Availability to work weekends and complete a two-week orientation prior to assignment

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology for Psychologist roles; Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy for LCSW/LMFT/LPCC candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions
• Familiarity with risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning
• Excellent clinical documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
• Understanding of confidentiality, ethical practice, and correctional healthcare protocols
• Comfort with structured environments and following facility policies
