Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in condition promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility to preserve resident dignity and independence
• Document care thoroughly and communicate clearly with the care team during shift handoffs
• Assist with meal service and restorative activities that promote resident well-being
• Follow infection control and safety protocols, including state-required immunizations

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (state-recognized)
• T-CNA certification if applicable to facility
• Ability to work the assigned day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) and every other weekend
• Flu shot required by the state (must be up to date prior to assignment)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of ADLs and resident personal care
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
• Familiarity with basic infection control practices
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff
