Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and basic observations accurately
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and electronic records
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Communicate changes in resident status to nursing staff and participating care team members
• Support residents' dignity and independence while building trusting relationships

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Active authorization to work in Virginia or ability to obtain state verification
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
• Reliable attendance with no more than two call outs as per facility expectations
• Comfort working day shift with every-other-weekend coverage

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents and clinical staff
• Familiarity with basic electronic documentation or willingness to learn
• Knowledge of resident safety, infection control, and patient dignity principles
