Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the evening shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor patient condition, report changes promptly, and escalate when needed
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly in the chart
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe transitions of care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Support a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes resident dignity
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license preferred; Licensed Practical Nurse applicants considered
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable prior to start
- Previous long-term care, med-surg, or related nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, dependable attendance, and a patient-first mindset
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility credentialing requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, RN diploma, or LPN program)
- BSN preferred for Registered Nurse applicants where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment skills and the ability to prioritize care needs
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
- Time management and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
