Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, safe nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly to the care team
- Support daily living activities and promote resident comfort and dignity
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and facility staff to create cohesive care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — required
- Travel LPN (T-LPN) experience is a plus but not required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Comfortable working overnight shifts in a long-term or skilled nursing setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program; diploma or certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Proficient with clinical documentation and charting best practices
- Ability to assess resident status and escalate concerns appropriately
- Compassionate bedside manner and time management during busy shifts
