Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about care, recovery and discharge instructions
• Escalate concerns and changes in patient status promptly to the care team
• Maintain professional standards for infection control, documentation and patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be valid for New Mexico or eligible for compact/reciprocity
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills may be considered
• Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Diploma in Practical Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Additional certifications or continuing education in specialty areas are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid skills in medication administration and patient monitoring
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, overnight care environment
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
