Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a rehab/health setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Perform timely patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and support staff to create and execute care plans
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and independence
• Assist with rehabilitation activities and safe patient mobility
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and follow facility policies

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license (active and in good standing) — ability to obtain New Mexico licensure if needed
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or specialty certifications encouraged where applicable
• Prior experience in acute care, rehab, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs
• Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication and critical thinking

Education

• Registered Nurse: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Licensed Practical Nurse: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Associations and higher degrees welcome; required licensure takes priority

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration and IV/infusion familiarity
• Wound care and basic rehab support
• Proficient with electronic health record documentation
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Prioritization, time management, and safe patient handling
