Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to rehab patients during overnight shifts
• Assess patient status, monitor vitals, and document changes promptly and accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility policies and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ADLs to promote recovery and independence
• Communicate clearly with day-shift staff during handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact multistate RN license where applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience in rehabilitation, med-surg, or long-term care is a plus but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Familiarity with medication administration and documentation best practices
• Comfort managing patients who require mobility assistance and rehab-focused care
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Team-oriented mindset and good interpersonal skills with patients and families
