Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor and document patient responses and progress in the medical record
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other certifications preferred
• Previous acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Safe medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Patient education techniques and discharge planning
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under pressure
• Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with the care team
