Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in an acute care rehab setting
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, responding quickly to changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to develop and update care plans
- Document interventions and patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain safety, infection control practices, and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (New Mexico or compact where applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or related settings preferred
- Valid background check and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
- High school diploma or equivalent for LPN applicants
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Familiarity with EMR charting and timely clinical documentation
- IV therapy and wound care skills preferred
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and provide calm leadership during busy shifts
