Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in an acute care rehab setting
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to develop and update care plans
• Document interventions and patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain safety, infection control practices, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (New Mexico or compact where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or related settings preferred
• Valid background check and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• High school diploma or equivalent for LPN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with EMR charting and timely clinical documentation
• IV therapy and wound care skills preferred
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and provide calm leadership during busy shifts
