Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required) — must be valid for Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings and immunizations
• Comfort working overnight hours and in a fast-paced care environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing care procedures and resident safety
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Competence with safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
