Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
• Support restorative nursing programs to help residents maintain independence
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the resident record
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection prevention protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members and families to promote coordinated care
• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active placement on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry (or ability to transfer/obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and required immunizations
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with resident-centered care and dignity-focused approaches
• Good observational skills to notice changes in condition
• Strong teamwork and communication with nursing staff and families
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
