Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility to promote independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific requirements apply)
• T-CNA or travel CNA experience is a strong plus
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to assignment
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and a Friday-Sunday rotation

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skill in basic patient care tasks: bathing, feeding, toileting, grooming
• Competence taking and documenting vital signs and observations
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff and families
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced long-term care setting
