Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care during overnight hours, ensuring comfort and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to policy
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary staff to create and follow care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and complete required documentation
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers with professionalism
• Assist with basic procedures and bedside care while promoting patient dignity

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Delaware or eligible for Delaware licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or additional certifications a plus
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage overnight patient needs
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently during night hours

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN)
• For RN applicants, ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and infection control practices
• Comfortable with electronic charting and documentation
• Good clinical judgment and critical thinking during overnight situations
• Strong communication skills for handoffs and family updates
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
