Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents during overnight hours
• Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Perform safety checks, rounds, and timely reporting to ensure resident well being
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers with clear communication and professionalism
• Mentor and support fellow staff when appropriate to promote a strong care culture

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to the facility schedule
• Must pass required background checks and immunization verification
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Patient assessment and clinical judgment during overnight care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard nursing workflows
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting
