Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility standards
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create a safe and comfortable environment
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Participate in care plan development and ensure continuity of care during shift changes
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (or compact/multi-state as applicable)
- Travel LPN experience preferred but new travel nurses are welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Ability to pass facility background check and drug screen
- Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy (TB, flu, COVID as required)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in medication administration and wound care
- Comfortable with charting and electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and patient-family interaction skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in fast-paced situations
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on resident-centered care
