Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients on the assigned unit during night shifts
- Administer medications, document care, and monitor patient responses with attention to detail
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Perform assessments, update care plans, and communicate changes to physicians and families
- Support admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep patient flow efficient and safe
- Model professional behavior, maintain accurate records, and follow facility policies
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license – New Mexico license preferred or ability to obtain before start date
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Previous experience as an LPN in an acute care or long-term care setting is highly valued
- Comfortable with medication administration, IV documentation basics, and electronic charting
- Ability to work the scheduled night shifts (Wed-Fri, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) and collaborate in a team environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring skills
- Proficient in medication administration and accurate documentation
- Good communication skills for handoffs and coordinating with interdisciplinary team
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic familiarity with electronic health record systems
