Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain clear, timely charting and communicate effectively with families
- Support a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — ready to practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain quickly
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a resident-centered focus
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of bedside nursing practices and medication administration
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Understanding of infection control principles and safety procedures
- Skill in time management and prioritizing multiple patient needs
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
- Basic wound care and vital signs monitoring experience
