Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs accurately to support clinical decisions
- Assist nursing team with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility
- Maintain clear, timely charting and communicate resident changes to the care team
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, respectful environment
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) valid for practice in the assigned state
- T-LNA or travel LNA credentials where applicable
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Clear background check and up-to-date health screenings per facility requirements
- Prior experience in long term care or skilled nursing preferred but caring attitude and strong work ethic are essential
Education
- Completion of an approved LNA program or equivalent and high school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Skilled at taking and recording vital signs and observing resident condition
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Good documentation habits and basic electronic charting familiarity
- Ability to follow care plans, infection control protocols, and safety procedures
