Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient strengths and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on functional independence
- Provide goal-directed therapeutic interventions for ADLs, mobility, and upper extremity function
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic patient care
- Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs
- Document progress and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that supports recovery and dignity
Qualifications
- Current, active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain one promptly)
- NBCOT certification preferred or in active pursuit
- Minimum of relevant clinical experience in rehabilitation, acute or post-acute care (experience level welcomed to apply)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in OT assessment tools and standardized outcome measures
- Expertise in ADL retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activity planning
- Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with common EMR systems
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
- Patient- and family-centered teaching skills with compassionate bedside manner
