Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient strengths and needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on functional independence
• Provide goal-directed therapeutic interventions for ADLs, mobility, and upper extremity function
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic patient care
• Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs
• Document progress and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that supports recovery and dignity

Qualifications

• Current, active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain one promptly)
• NBCOT certification preferred or in active pursuit
• Minimum of relevant clinical experience in rehabilitation, acute or post-acute care (experience level welcomed to apply)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT assessment tools and standardized outcome measures
• Expertise in ADL retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activity planning
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with common EMR systems
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
• Patient- and family-centered teaching skills with compassionate bedside manner
