Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Day (30-minute meal)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations to identify patient needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote meaningful progress
- Provide evidence-based therapy for articulation, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and independence
- Participate in care planning and discharge recommendations to ensure safe transitions
Qualifications
- Active state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist (Virginia license preferred or ability to obtain prior to start)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or equivalent clinical experience
- Minimum clinical experience working with adult rehabilitation populations preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification (as required by facility)
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in dysphagia assessment and management
- Proficient with standardized and informal assessment tools
- Experience with cognitive-communication and language intervention strategies
- Comfortable collaborating with occupational and physical therapy teams
- Familiarity with electronic health records and timely documentation
- Strong communication, time management, and patient-family education abilities
